Yes it is- although there are very few studies - you are not going mad or being hysterical… there is a link

This has been an issue before 2019. I started the ADHD assessment process in 2018 and it was a 2 year wait back then.

- Petitions and calls to fix the system were ignored

- NHS clinics don’t have enough psychiatrists

- It’s affecting both kids and adults seeking support

People are not obsessed with diagnosed, they are being failed and requesting support. The pathologization of those seeking support is both bizarre and uncalled for. Neurodivergent people aren't the problem, we need a radical overhaul of systems.

'Gosh, we are totally surprised that there are so many autistic people!' (paraphrased), etc.
Perhaps if the Government had not spent the last 13 yrs pretending the figures were low, we wouldn't have a 'surprise' eh? They were advised. Repeatedly. For years.
