Happy Christmas to you all, my friends, followers, and fellow pedants. May your pauses be short, your lists be clear, and no one wonder whether you’re eating Grandma.

My husband and son built the pig shed here for Alfie and our beloved Big Dave. We’d walk over after dinner with scraps. My son was married here. John Spencer was a maternal ancestor. So many memories.

I had to meet with a subcommittee of our City Council for my reappointment to the Emma Commission. I love our City Hall, especially that lacy carving. When I first voted, it was placing my ballot into one of those wooden boxes. I passed, my name will go before entire council.
