The wait begins for all the various satellites and payloads from Surrey to contact home.... Over the next few hours and days we'll be monitoring as they get released and activated. Congrats to Surrey Satellites after making contact with KazSTSAT already! It's getting busy up there!

Surreys REMDEB-NET now passing though 260km! Re-entry predicted 2nd March. The cubesat enclosed by the NET will be the first element of the #removedebris mission to re-enter and burn up in the atmosphere. #racefromspace @SpaceatSurrey

The two SSO-A sails launched in December and are deorbiting the two large Spaceflight deployment platforms known as Upper and Lower Free Flyers which deployed the 64 satellites on their record setting mission. Here's a link to their mission video spaceflight.com/wp-content/upl…

Both SSO-A sails are relatively large for a drag sail with an area of 16m3 each. After being automatically deployed 24 hours after launch, both radar and visual observations have confirmed their successful deployment.

Always nice to use our facilities to support AARISS contacts, allowing young students to talk directly to astronauts working in space. Nice clear signal today, fantastic! Surrey WP & Outreach University of Surrey

I saw that @theemmys posted a photo of me "In Memoriam" rather than the intended Andre Previn. Andre deserved better. I had the opportunity to introduce him when he received the KennedyCenterHonors. Perhaps he was paying me back for a couple stories I told about him. Andre, R.I.P.
