Collaboration of Surgical Education Fellows I feel like it depends on the case and level of the residents involved. Double scrubbing a lap appy vs a trauma ex lap have different educational potential
Collaboration of Surgical Education Fellows Depends on how much of the operative field you can see

Collaboration of Surgical Education Fellows Depends on your definition of double scrubbing? If only watching and not participating - there are likely other more effective/efficient teaching methods. Or other learning opportunities to take advantage of
Collaboration of Surgical Education Fellows If I’m an intern joining a Whipple with a PGY5 and attending - but I do the ex-lap, open chole, and ex-lap closure with the PGY5 or attending, I think that’s highly educational. But I also don’t consider that a true “double scrubbing” case
Also another ⭐️ student to look out for in the ENT Match this year! Nate Verhagen presenting his incredible work with AI simulated scenarios for medical students #SAAS2024
Super important study done by Dr. Cait Silvestri and all! It’s important to find an environment that helps you learn and grow into an amazing surgeon-educator! 🌻
