So pleased to read that King's College NHS is increasing number of haematology psychologists. A much needed and appreciated role by #bloodcancer patients. Should be available in all major haematology departments @PHE_uk NHS England

You don't have to change or get rid of negative thoughts or feelings. You only need to recognize that they are temporary, and that you are an expansive being that is spacious enough to host them as they pass through.

Pleasure to be part of this panel with Blood Cancer UK Blood Cancer UK Research last evening. It’s mostly about #CovidVaccine efficacy for blood cancer patients but also covers coping with uncertainty on a psychological level while we await more clarity.

Loved this depiction by Rodin of ‘a man and his thought’ Tate. Many psychology/ philosophy perspectives invite us to look at thoughts as separate entities- voices in the back of our mind -to which we can learn to relate.

As the Supreme Court today hears a case on Roe v. Wade, let me be very clear. It is a woman who has the right to control her own body, not the government. If men were the ones giving birth, I doubt that this would be in question.

Thankful to these gorgeous blossoms outside the WEC King's College NHS for pulling me out of my automatic thoughts and putting huge smile on my face as I wandered there to conduct a teaching session this afternoon.

Excellent session on inequities in healthcare at #EBMT24 Would love to see this given a platform in the opening ceremony at future conferences to embed this message across all work streams. This is relevant to patient-facing and non-patient facing roles. EBMT

A heartbreaking but necessary listen about some of the appalling realities of “modern” Britain. The intersections with race, class, and gender are unmissable. Huge impact on the NHS too as acute hospitals become quasi temporary homes due to the crisis in social care and housing.
