A1: The moment filled my soul with hope, possibility and responsibility to live everyday at my greatest potential. I felt even more determined to push through for my daughter and the young women who look to us to stay the course no matter what. #IASASuperwomen

I am loving these expressions about Madame VP Harris! Her perseverance and unrelenting expectations have inspired me. And as my sorority sister I feel an extra boost of pride and expectations of my life! #IASASUPERWOMEN

A2: I am clear on my purpose and what I believe in. I believe firmly that if I maintain my integrity and do the right thing, I will overcome obstacles. Not always in the time I desire, but ultimately in the time that is right. #IASASuperWomen

A2: Do not think you can do it alone. Surround yourself with people who are smart and savvy to be sounding boards when you need it. Don't be afraid to take a risk but always stay true to yourself and your integrity. #IASASUPERWOMEN

A2: Also, give yourself grace. Obstacles will come. You can be the hardest person on yourself - let it go! Take time to feed your soul in whatever form feels best to you and then tackle the task at hand. #IASASuperWomen

A3: In order to empower others, I work with them to connect what they are passionate about and leadership opportunities. This builds confidence while also allowing them to set stretch goals to expand their own leadership abilities. #IASASuperWomen

A3: To empower other women we have to share our truth while encouraging them. There will be more expectations and requirements. We rise to that challenge and meet it head on. We must support the mantra "put your name in the hat"! #IASASUPERWOMEN

A4: Dr. Laura Murray, Retired Superintendent. She saw leadership in me and placed me in leadership opportunities that I did not even see for myself. She consistently said "put your name in the hat". Her belief in me set me on the path where I land today. #IASASuperWomen

A5: I am most proud of being able to serve the 852 supts. across the state on the ISBE. I think serving as a diligent voice for all of my colleagues, regardless of any political arrows I had to endure, is what led to this role of service for the state. #IASASuperWomen

What a wonderful group of amazing leaders here tonight!!! I am loving all of the messages and sharing of who we are as a collective! #IASASUPERWOMEN

All of us leading through a pandemic is a once in a hundred year experience. We were all purposed to be leading during this time. Right people, right place, right time - we are living our purpose right now. #IASASUPERWOMEN

A6: My true purpose is to lead young people to live lives of significance and success that will ultimately impact their families for generations to come. Each day I challenge myself "what will I do today that can produce mindsets of success and significance?" #IASASuperWomen

A7: I admire so many women in my circle who are amazing! Toi Hutchinson, Sonya Whitaker, Dr. Courtney Orzel, Bhavna Sharma-Lewis and on and on! They are all fearless, confident, and get the work done like no other!! #IASASuperWomen
