We're delighted to welcome Lou Lou and Daisy from Claire's Crafts Create to Summer Wool Festival. Claire's Crafts Create is a very interesting needle felting supplier, and offer a great range of materials and kits, unique to them and not available anywhere else in the UK.

We're happy to welcome Shannon from Blue Fern Yarns in Norfolk, to Summer Wool Festival. She is a hand dyer of gorgeous yarns and a designer of knitting patterns. Her colourways are inspired by nature, plants, beaches and woodlands, and she is a self-confessed knitting addict 🙂

We've been consulting with exhibitors about their stall positions, and then finalising them, with 5 areas at the school for vending exhibitors, plus another, and everything is now sorted. We’ll be putting all the names on the various floorplans in the next few days.

At Summer Wool Festival, the vast majority of the stalls and the food vans will take both card and cash payments. A small number will be cash only, so bring some cash with you. And if you're paying on the front desk to get in, then it'll be cash only. summmerwoolfestival.co.uk

How to spin hand dyed wool tops from Naomi who will be at the Summer Wool Festival (Wonderful Wool).. Split the wool tops lengthwise and spin a 2 ply yarn, you'll maintain the colour changes. Split more times, and you can get a self-striping yarn that repeats the colour changes.

SECOND-HAND MAGAZINES STALL… If there’s some (or loads) you don’t want, please bring them along, so we can sell them on our charity magazine stall. We’re looking for knitting, crochet and other wool-craft magazines or books, raising money for the Bedford Daycare Hospice.

We're very happy to have Julie from Wool Zone at Summer Wool Festival. Julie runs a wool shop in Oakham, and she will be bringing a wide range of colourful knitting and crochet kits for all abilities containing quality yarns plus woolly-related bags, tins and gifts.

We're happy to have Verity from Truly Hooked at Summer Wool Festival. Verity is an award-winning hand dyer and a pattern designer. She's bringing a range of vibrant neons, stunning speckles and subtle semi-solid yarns on luxury bases, and you'll find her stall in the marquee.

The weather forecast for Summer Wool Festival this weekend is looking very pleasant - dry and warm, but not too hot! Should be great for walking around the event, getting food at our Street Food Area, and sitting at a picnic bench or on the grass to eat, drink, chat and relax!
