Watching this painful video targeting a Jewish synagogue, Hindu Americans are reminded that IAMC & CAIR worked through Teaneck DMC on a resolution demanding FBI surveillance of Hindu groups like Hindu American Foundation last year.

Something isn’t right there.

We Hindu American Foundation have been providing granular data on the ugly Hindu mandir attacks to congressional leaders for several months. Our gratitude to all Indian American Members of Congress—the “Samosa Caucus”—for taking this important step to demand a DOJ Civil Rights Division briefing.

The upsurge in antisemitic vandalism in my city, my state and my community here in Philadelphia is truly gut wrenching. Sending love and support to all of those affected by these hateful acts.

Reading Swami Venkataraman’s brilliant piece, I think back to how lucky I was to learn Bharatanatyam in 1980’s California without anyone ever raising caste nonsense.

It’s why we fight so hard against caste policies in the U.S.—we will never allow caste identitarianism to take root here.
