UNISON Suffolk County branch is consulting employers to improve the conditions of its members in light of the Government’s mandatory vaccination law for those working in care homes.

Suffolk County Branch Secretary, Neil Bland said, “We still don’t know from central government the process care home staff will have to follow to inform their employers if they are medically exempt from the Covid-19 vaccination.

In the meantime, members can look out for UNISON’s special newsletter coming out to those affected this could be care home staff or those who need to visit care home clients such as occupational therapists and social workers.
