We followed up on our meeting in Paris & discussed the next steps of our cooperation within the EU & the IMO to meet the challenges in the maritime sector & promote a sustainable blue economy.

We are committed to ensuring that the Greek maritime sector responds effectively in order to meet the needs of our oceans & guarantee their sustainability.

In this respect #Greece will be leading the effort at EU and global level within the IMO.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

We will cooperate bilaterally and within the framework of the IMO on all the major challenges the shipping sector is facing today.

I strongly condemn the attacks launched by Iran against Israel. Αny escalation is a threat to regional stability and security. We stand with Israel and urge all sides to show restraint.

Such actions pose a significant danger to both regional and international security. It is absolutely essential to prevent any further spread of hostilities. 2/2

Interesting meeting today with the Norwegian Shipowners' Association.

Decarbonisation and the seafarers’ shortage are the most significant challenges for shipping. The solution lies on strong collaboration between the public and the private sector.

Excellent meeting with my good friend Mr. Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

Greece and Norway will work bilaterally and within the framework of the IMO on all major challenges shipping is facing today.

Constructive meeting with members of the Oslo Port Authority.

During our site visit, we listened to their insights and discussed strategies on how to promote green port infrastructure in Greece and accelerate the green transition.

In our meeting with CEO Mr. Knut Orbeck-Nilssen & the DNV team, we discussed the future of shipping, the green transition & the associated challenges such as technologies,finance & upskilling of seafarers.
