For #TympanumTuesday , the most lavish of the many portals into Engelbrektskyrkan, #Stockholm , with Christ blessing the children, and below, more oblique, people weep under the crown of thorns, and revive when they see the cup of the eucharist. An #ArtsandCrafts #ArtNouveau wow!
For # #OwlishMonday , a doorway owl keeps a vigil in #Stockholm , just part of one of the many fine doorways I've seen on my trip. This one, I feel, has seen some things...
Naughtily posting from #Sweden , I'm heading back to early spring with these for #wildflowerhour - wood anemone I know, and purple fumitory, then a yellow star of bethlehem, and a scilla, I think, but what's the purple flower with the anemone? Another anemone? #wildflowerid

It's #NationalDragonDay ! Spare a thought for all those tormented out of their lairs by saints and heroes alike, as shown at Lewknor, #Oxfordshire , by Powell's, c. 1934 #StGeorgesDay (in honour of my storytelling friend Chloe who campaigned for dragons, & is now flying with them)
For #SundayStonework these two foliate corbels at Lewknor, #Oxfordshire caught my fancy - I've definitely had tangled headaches like the one on the left, and the hand seems to be a theme here - an odd detail, as Pevsner says, on this early C14th work.
