A reminder that there has been an update in the uniform policy, wherein all students are required to have a chromebook sleeve similar to those outlined here. This has been implemented to support our students in caring for chromebooks. We thank you for your support in this.

Today, as we welcomed back our entire Strood Academy community, we held year group assemblies, led by Mr Richardson. It was fantastic to be able to come together to reflect on last year as well as to look ahead, as we anticipate all the successes this year will bring.

Between the online safety risks that come with technology & the impacts of overuse, it can be a good idea to set some ground rules for the sake of children’s wellbeing. This safety guide, offers top-level advice on how to successfully think up and enforce rules for using devices.

In Y9 MFL, students have begun the 'Living at Home' unit, anticipating what will be covered within this. During their first lesson, students examined the unit Inquiry Questions as well as reminded themselves of key vocabulary which they will likely be using throughout this module

This year, students will be undertaking weekly literacy activities through the Communication Programme. Here students explored a text called “The Science Book”, where they engaged with keywords linked to Science, and explored the conventions of nonfiction texts. Well done 9h3!
