Sad day as the Monks finalise their season and time as a club. It’s been an absolute pleasure, we’ve had clubs on strings for years despite being unaware of their existence (Ashby). Some ups and downs, but as Oakthorpe Athletic FC 1st Team found out, we might lose a lot, but we win when it matters

Good start to pre season for the firsts. 1-0 win v AFC Tutbury but minutes in the legs was all today was about. Pitch less than ideal but appreciate the boys from Tutbury getting the game on. OG ⚽️ See you in the season lads.

Reserves had a mixed morning, and the royal rumble ended in a no contest.

Firsts 2-2 New Inn. Severely depleted squad worked their arses off and got a deserved point with a late equaliser. Had to adapt and be solid and compact but had a couple of stinking misses ourselves which could’ve seen us take all 3 points on another day. Freeman ⚽️ Bennett ⚽️

1 v 4 Moira in the semi. Scoreline probably a tad misleading. In the game for majority, with a great chance to level the game late on. Wasn’t to be & Moira scored 2 in the final 10 killing the game with a great volley. Outstanding performance from the 11 there. ⚽️ Brodrick
