The snow has finally thawed! Which led to a lovely muddy session at Forest School for the Y1 children. Our focus this half term is British birds. Today we looked for signs of birds and made some nests for them 🪹🦉🪶🦤🐦 @StradbrokePrimary

Year 2 have had a great Forest school session today 🌳. We have been using hand saws to cut tree cookies off of branches and used palm drills to drill holes into them. Our favourite part was definitely the mud slide 🛝 @StradbrokePrimary Year 2

As part of our topic on bears, Forest class joined the IR children to cook porridge on the fire. Once the porridge was cooked we selected our toppings and enjoyed our yummy porridge 🥣🍫🍯😋 @StradbrokePrimary

We explored The Three Billy Goats Gruff and a tale of a wizard freezing the troll! The goats saved him with magic wands, inspiring the children to find sticks and whittle their own enchanted wands! 🧚🐐🧌 @StradbrokePrimary
