Our #peatlands and blanket bogs are vital carbon sinks that help combat climate change. Our UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳 #WorldHeritage Site recognition will strengthen conservation efforts, enhancing #FlowCountry’s critical role in carbon sequestration. Together, we can make a difference! 🌿💚

Just the 65 turbines envisaged for Walshaw Moor deep peatland. Read the conversation between Nick Mackinnon and Myra (Frank was rather quiet) and see which view you would espouse Ed Miliband Angela Rayner Rachel Reeves markavery.info/2024/07/27/gue… Yes, we need onshore windfarms -

Rooftop solar is a common sense way to deliver clean energy without impacting the countryside, nature and food security. But the potential of rooftop solar continues to be overlooked, including in national policy. We want to change that. Here's why 👇 cpre.org.uk/explainer/roof…

The The Wildlife Trusts has acquired Skiddaw! This landscape, which is treasured by so many, will see restoration of peatlands, woodlands and more. Let there be no doubt, this is a milestone moment for nature restoration in @LakeDistrictNPA and beyond. theguardian.com/uk-news/articl…

This week our team travelled up to Oxenhope to create a Sphagnum demonstration lawn with Moors for the Future! We planted 6,000+ Sphagnum BeadaHumok at high density. These will grow together to exhibit the benefits of intensive revegetation in accelerating peatland restoration!
