Maybe this doesn’t fit the narrative but WVU was in a pretty aggressive man to man. Iowa was in a zone. That gave up open 3s. I would think there would be more opportunities to foul in a man vs zone. On paper the foul count looks bad but I don’t see too many fouls called vs zone

Also the reason why WVU created 15 TOs and scored 19pts off of those TOs. They were aggressive defensively. WVU also shot 34 threes. More than half of their FGA. WVU played their butts off though. I was hoping they’d pull off the upset.

I love seeing HC’s allow their assistants to draw up last minute plays in the huddle. Says a lot about the HC and the confidence they have in their Xs and Os coach!

No matter how terrible you may think a ref is, at no point should parents ever come over to the benches to address a ref. Especially in 4th/5th girls basketball. I found myself holding back one of the refs after our game today. Parents do better!
