Funny, and not that far fetched. I had a lawyer whose client was being torn apart on cross leap to his feet and shout, "OBJECTION!" Me: 👀 Him: 😐 Me: 👀 Him: 😐 Me: Well, what's the objection? Him: I don't know. I just wanted to interrupt and break his train of thought.

One of my favorite such moments was in a family law trial. The self-employed respondent was trying to get minimum child support (<$200). On cross, the atty said he would first address possession rights, and challenged R's ability to provide a suitable home for the child. 1/5
