Looking back I guess it makes sense that it costs more (time and energy) to maintain layer 2 custody than it does to maintain layer 1 custody. I accept that now. But if this cost difference is significant, a L1 coin will likely be valued differently than a L2 coin

I know a lot of Bitcoiners. I know a handful of Bitcoin developers. I know a few who work on Bitcoin Core. Something that stands out and I can’t stop thinking about is the drastic difference in perspective between Bitcoiners who have a family and children and those who don’t.

People naturally think UTXOracle is a clever trick to identify the price on chain, which is fine. But it's much more than that. The full history of bitcoin transactions is primarily a record of bitcoin's purchasing power. It's not a trick and it's not even clever really.
