Last night @ hospital with my dgtr I had a good conversation with Drs & nurses re med cannabis. All very supportive of MC & it's use. Drs can't understand it being sch8 as they see no harm from it but admitted they have no knowledge of the ECS.

Why can't Neurologists accept that medicinal cannabis (thc) can reduce seizure frequency & helps stop her myoclonic seizures from becoming tonic clonic. Neurology now wants my dgtr to stop her thc & replace it with Clobozam putting her on Lamotrigine, fycompa & Clobozam.

Neurologists now saying medicinal cannabis with thc causes seizures. Where the fuck does this all end.

I truly don't know what to do. Since June last year my 19yo dgtr has dislocated her left shoulder 9 times. 3 times during the weekend just gone. Orthopaedics say she needs surgery but won't do it bcse she has uncontrolled epilepsy. Can't even lift her arm or roll over in bed.

My daughter has really struggled with her uncontrolled epilepsy & mental hlth problems. Yesterday we had a telephone assessment for the Disability Support Pension & we were told a recommendation wld be made for the DSP to be granted. One step closer.

There is NO advocacy or support for patients who can't access medicinal cannabis products or patients who have access but are stigmatised for their use. As a parent who has publicly advocated for access since 2015 I am so fucking disappointed. All I see is support 4 industry.

May 15th, 2015 I started treating my daughter Sulis epilepsy with home made, home grown medicinal cannabis May 24th 2016 Chlds Hlth Qld assessed no suspicion of harm being caused. Despite this a patient homegrow amnesty isn't supported by MC industry hospitals & advocacey orgs.

Some good news today. My daughters application for the disability support pension was approved today. Something good finally happened for her.

Daughter went to get a tattoo today. She was told she couldn't get a tattoo until she had stopped using her prescription medicinal cannabis for 3 days as it wld impair her decision on whether to get a tattoo or not. A load of bs in my opinion

Yesterday @ my dgtrs neurology appointment the neuro said my dgtr should stop using her prescription MC containing THC as it can cause seizures & replace it with clobazam. The resistance regarding thc from neurologists & the stigma that exists re the use of thc is surprising

Our hlth system at work> despite my daughters epilepsy progressively worsening on Sunday she had her first MRI in 5 years & hasn't had an eeg in almost 4 years. The last eeg we had to organise ourselves privately.

With the Fed Govt planning to ban kids under 14yo from accessing social media for their safety, what about the evening news. It has images of war (death & destruction), stories of murder, rape & domestic violence, images of car accidents. You name it, it's on the evening news..

WTF is going on. My 12yo son walking home from school in his uniform was just pulled up by the cops & questioned for no reason & they took his name down. Yes he has brown skin colour.

Unfortunately the Qld Govt/Qld Hlth Minister response to the e petition for a patient medicinal cannabis homegrow amnesty is as expected. Pathetic
