There has never been a better time than now in Qld to lobby your state MP re access to Cannabis with an election looming Oct this year. An election which cld go either way & they are all hunting votes. My MP cldnt do enough 4 me organising meetings re current vaping laws

2 day we have a meeting @ centrelink re my dgtrs application 4 DSP. Not confident of the outcome but no other alternative. Her epilepsy, her mental health issues & cannabis medications all combine 2 make employment & fulfilling the mutual obligations for jobseeker impossible

A genuine question 2 United In Compassion , AMCA & the industry. What advocacy has been/is being done to have prescription medicinal cannabis products/vapes removed from the tobacco act in Qld & other states. Asking here as my emails & messages apparently don't warrant a response

Are neurologists scared of medicinal cannabis?
Instead of neurology banning my dghtr from using her prescription vape in hospital for a 3 day 2 night EEG one wld think that they wld jump @ the chance to see if it works to stop myoclonic seizures & 2 potentially help others

On the 27th March my dgtr had a tonic clonic seizure in her class @ tafe. The wooden artists easel she was using fell on her face. This seizure may well have been avoided if not for the regulations putting her legally prescribed medicinal cannabis vape as tobacco & not a medicine

Is there any medicinal cannabis industry or medicinal cannabis advocacy organisations advocating for Fed & State Govts to change the laws regarding the use of prescription medicinal cannabis vapes in non smoking areas. A law which affects many patients & may be dangerous to some.

Meeting yday with Fed Labor MP re current laws affecting medicinal cannabis vapes & letter sent to Fed Hlth Minister. Meeting requested with Qld Hlth Minister. Complaint made to hospital patient safety & Hlth Ombudsman re refusal to allow prescribed Cannabis vape in Hospital.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I have a meeting with Fed Labor MP re the laws around prescription medicinal cannabis vape & waiting for a response from Qld Hlth Minister for a meeting re the same issue.

The stigma & paranoia from some of the med profession & Govts, State & Fed regarding regally prescribed medicinal cannabis is mind boggling.
