Bright day Hilbre Bird Obs although the sandstorm inducing north-westerly was more conducive for sea-watching than passerines arriving although a late pm looked like it had been enjoying the blackthorn pollen! Plenty of Gannets&SandwichTerns + our first Arctics (3)

A tough afternoon at the match … but you have to pick yourself up. So we called in Allan Conlin’s on the way home and he had the nailed on for us through his scope! Flighty and getting more distant but always a good bird on thanks Al 🙏

From one beautiful island to another … (not quite 12 hours from Turk’s Head to Hilbre Bird Obs coz of a slight detour to Newquay and tide was in at 3am!). Nice fall of phylloscs (Willows&Chiffs) as we caught edge of the front including a Northern (acredula type) bird

Spent quite some time wave watching this afternoon at Inspired by St Agnes Niki I tried to take some photos but they just didn’t show the wave size, so I took some slow mo video instead 🌊

Jemma is brilliant at her job - always professional and friendly whenever she has served us. A real credit to Elite Bistros and her parents ❤️Regardless of the “review” I can’t believe people seem to go out of their way to upset staff who are serving them!
