A long term shutdown? - take the time now to learn new tools, new strategies and a new philosophy on grading and assessment

Assessment is anything we do to gather evidence in order to provide feedback and inform instruction. Grading refers to the reporting of a students final proficiency only. Grades can get in the way of a good assessment.

Assessment is required for learning, grades are not.

Been holding back, but three times now in the last week I’ve had 30 min conversations with my son, successfully completing a 9 month program, and choosing to go into an aftercare follow up program, recovering from heroin addiction. My heart is blessed, #Covid_19 be damned.
