Great day at 3 Peaks Race supported by Inov-8 selling and signing Great Northern Books and Sandstone Press books, meeting friends and chatting with runners, supporters and officials. Some folk passed very nice comments on my efforts to write about this marvellous sport.

39 years after ‘Doing T’ Peaks’ for the first time, I’m returning this Saturday to take on this spectacular course again in my 64th year. It’s still my favourite race.

For years I’ve enjoyed exploring far off places but one of the best feelings in the world is when your only grandchild falls asleep on you. T.S. Eliot was spot on. ‘At the end of our exploring to arrive at the place we started and know it for the first time.’

If Rwanda is the ‘safe place’ the government claim, how is it the deterrent they also claim. The two points of view contradict each other. Incredible waste of money and confirms what many of us think of the party in government, most of which can’t be repeated here.
