Our 3-5 music clubs & kinderfrogs did a great job at our winter concert! I want to thank Terri Nicotera for working with the percussion club this semester & Cara Hahn for returning from Pine Hollow to perform for us on the violin. I look forward to spring!

If you are moving into a leadership role next year, remember that relationships must be the top priority because regardless of other responsibilities, you are leading people, and without strong relationships, everything else becomes much more challenging

We had a great spring semester with our music clubs! The students did a great job at our spring concert, Pond-a-Palooza, and our community service day! I am looking forward to starting another great year with the music clubs in fall!

We had a great time at our end of the year music clubs party and award ceremony at Galaxy Fun Park! I want to congratulate these bullfrogs on a job well done and we wish our 5th graders success in middle school!

We had a great time at the 2024 Raleigh Youth Choir Explosion event today singing with 4th and 5th graders from around the county! We look forward to participating in this event next year!

The percussion club had a spectacular performance at last week's glow party & the ukulele club looked great in their glow shirts! Congrats to our PTA for reaching their fundraising goal & celebrating our students with this event!

The 4th graders had a fun time at the annual NC Symphony field trip this week! We heard works by Beethoven, Tate, Rossini, Bates, Contreras, Coleridge-Taylor, Tchaikovsky, and Haydn. I look forward to going on this trip again next year!

On December 12th, 2024 the Barton Pond music department hosted its annual winter concert! The event included performances by the chorus, ukulele club, percussion club, & 4th graders. The students did a great job! We are looking forward to our spring concert!

The Barton Pond Chorus had a great time making music in March! The group performed at the annual Pieces of Gold show and hosted the world-renowned composer, Sally Albrecht, as a clinician to prepare for their upcoming spring concert!

The Barton Pond music program had a great time closing out the school year with an amazing spring concert and a fun end of the year party at Galaxy Fun Park! We are looking forward to making more music for the 2025-2026 school year!

We had a great time participating in the 2025 Raleigh Youth Choir Explosion this year! We are looking forward to singing with the choir again next fall!

On 10/31/25 Barton Pond hosted its annual glow party to celebrate meeting its PTA's fundraising goal. The Barton Pond percussion ensemble performed with their electric green drumsticks! They look forward to performing at this event next year!

I'm so proud of this student for making history as the first student at Barton Pond Elementary to perform with the NC Elementary Honors Chorus this past weekend! We look forward to sending more students to be a part of this chorus in the future!

The Barton Pond music program hosted its annual winter concert on 12/11/25. The chorus, percussion ensemble, ukulele club, and 4th graders did an amazing job at this concert! We are looking forward to a phenomenal concert in the spring.

This week 4th graders at Barton Pond attended the annual NC Symphony field trip! Students heard works by Grieg, Montgomery, Bizet, Beethoven, Kelley, Schubert, Smith, and Verdi. We had a great time on this trip and we look forward to going next year!

These Barton Pond chorus students did a great job at the WCPSS Elementary Honors Chorus event this weekend! I am looking forward to taking another group of students to this event next year!
