I have spent part of the morning rehearsing for next weeks @RTPI_Yorks Planning Law Update: A Post-Pandemic Perspective rtpi.org.uk/events/2021/ap… Folks will be talking about heritage, green belt, retailing, the planning balance and probably a bit of design and biodiversity too!

We all need to do more to widen access to the bar, I would have met the criteria for access to this scheme which shows you how underrepresented even state schoolers are!

Thanks Simon Ricketts for the invitation, really enjoyed our #Clubhouse chat about the future of rail in the north and Leeds’s sad lack of 🚃🚃

Looking forward to seeing friends old and new at the CPA dinner this evening, it’s been a while since I dusted off the glad rags !

Thank you to NIPA for inviting me to be part of your all female case law update today (no MIPIM Lads here!) Hopefully one day the gender make-up won't be of note but for today, thank you & I really enjoyed sharing the stage with some of my super talented colleagues

This is a really important scheme chambers is proud to be part of. Now in its second year. Please retweet so it’s brought to the attention of as many deserving applicants as possible kingschambers.com/latest-news/ne…

NEW: Former cabinet minister Simon Clarke has tabled an amendment to the Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill to overturn the ban on new onshore wind Tells me: "If we're going to have some anti-growth amendments on the bill we might as well have some pro-growth ones too"

Infrastructure is absolutely key to a functioning country and improvements are desperately needed across the north. The dash to platform 13/14 at Manchester Piccadilly is not a happy place to be even before TPExpress started cancelling all of the through trains to my station! 😱

Nutrient Neutrality update - NE has been working on mitigation projects and "The first mitigation projects are currently being negotiated with two partners in the Tees catchment" - in the north and everything! gov.uk/government/new…

More onshore wind? I'm not sure that allowing schemes "where communities are in favour" is radically different to the current "where impacts identified by the community have been fully addressed"... theguardian.com/environment/20…

Cumbria coal mine granted. [36] leaps out - downstream effects of GHGs from actually using the coal as neutral to slightly beneficial 🤔 assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/upl…

DLUHC letter to MPs on 5th December - "Only four-in-ten local authorities have up to date local plans and I am determined to change this" - maybe not continually shifting the goal posts would help, plans likely to be delayed yet again now
