Simulated empathy, whether in face-to-face interactions or through AI-driven platforms, can be emotionally manipulative, misleading, and ultimately harmful to individuals seeking genuine emotional support.

Not fitting into a ‘box’ can empower individuals to appreciate and celebrate diversity. They recognize the beauty and strength that lies in embracing differences and understand that inclusion goes beyond merely accepting others.

The “if you can’t say anything nice” mentality can lead to suppression of authentic thoughts and emotions.

Different isn't bad, It's badass. My take on why 'Normalise this' can get in the bin and take difference tourism with it.

'As a fellow human with brain fog, thank you for writing this. This is one of the best descriptions of brain fog I have come across, and I love the idea of thinking of my own brain fog this way'-sometimes a single connection makes it all worth it link.medium.com/Lf7PY5tYkAb

Not saying anything good came from the pandemic but I do support any conversation around validating brain fog. As someone living in the fog it feels nice to not have to justify why it's real sometimes!

Just back from a week in and I can't wait to go back and explore more. I adore my beloved Scotland but there's something about the Italian way of life that just works for my chaotic brain 🇮🇹❤️

I believe I may have come across a black hole.
I am also observing some kind of vibrating coming from within the perfectly round void. Should I be worried?

'Whilst I believe that AI cannot be ‘therapy’ that isn’t to say that it can’t support and create supportive dialogue'

So grateful to be contributing to such an important dialogue, even more grateful for everyone sharing their personal stories with me.

No no no

'No one can read minds, so we start by using statistics to ask what expressions mean to the people making them'

Ask 8 billion people what their 'flavour' of sad is and you'll get 8 billion different versions.

Empathy cannot be a statistic.

Using artificial intelligence and ChatGPT as a replacement for therapists, is calling out the perception of the mental health profession. It needs to come together to not only correct it but talk to the tech industry and advise why they're needed.

Detecting feelings is a stretch. Detecting muscle movement is far more accurate.
I smile initially when given distressing news, would it experience me as happy?

The role of ChatGPT and potential benefits to wellbeing. If a distinction between 'support' and 'therapy' can be explicitly communicated then the potential to improve mental health and reduce stigma could be exponential.

ChatGPT being better than a BAD therapist shouldn't be an argument for ChagGPT as therapy. It should be an argument for BETTER therapy 🤦🏻‍♀️
