Time lapse of #Jupiter system last week with Io shadow transit covering 3.5 hours of real time. Methane band appears to give better contrast than visible light and the moon remains clearly visible mid-transit. 150 x 200 x 140 ms CH4 in Celestron 8" at f/10.

Academic travel to a summerschool will take me 3h by public transport (bus, trains,bus) in Germany. Thanks to a recent federal initiative the whole travel ( including the way back) will cost 9 Euro in total.
