1/3Athletics is something I love and am passionate about which means I am always looking for ways to give back to the sport. In light of recent events, Ron Pickering Fund in particular has been in the forefront of my mind.

2/3 Ron Pickering Fund was a charity that I was lucky enough to receive a bursary from in the earlier part of my career. Now, I want to see others have the same opportunities and be supported in their development.

3/3 So I will be donating £5 for every second that my meeting record gets beaten by at tonight’s @Nightof10kPBs. Good luck to everyone racing. 💫 Run hard and enjoy lapping up the incredible atmosphere.

Congratulation to Adane on the new female Night Of The 10k PBs record of 29:59! That’s a 70 second improvement of which I’ve donated £350 to Ron Pickering Fund! A worthy cause to help athletes access equipment, coaching/travel expenses to support & develop their potential! 🕊

Working hard behind the scenes. Like most volunteers. This matters. Today and for future opportunities in athletics👇🏽

At the 1928 Olympics, women ran the 800m for the 1st time. After the race, reporters wrote stories of women collapsing in utter exhaustion with half the field dropping out None of that occurred The 800 was eliminated for 32 years. Stories are powerful. thegrowtheq.com/the-unfortunat…

Pleased I responded to the DCMS Call forEvidence on misconduct, harassment, bullying, & discrimination British Athletics! Medals mask systemic cultural issues which have never been tackled! No hand to play in any departure but a review should be conducted on itsorganisational health

Without athletes and journalists highlighting issues in elite sport, it would all be ignored in favour of medals, money and fame. Sport and those who run it, cannot regulate their behaviours and can no longer be expected to. The status quo does nothing to advance performance

DCMS Call for evidence has been extended to Oct 31st! Not a long survey but start to recognise the patterns and trends within sports which need to addressed. Worth responding prior to *hopefully* a consultation/ review.
