It’s been years since at Pancreas Verona we are investigating the role of #POAP - Postoperative Acute Pancreatitis ⚡️ as a determinant of #POPF 🔜 still a long way to go but new data are coming in👇👇👇 Annals of Surgery

Again on #POAP - Postoperative Acute Pancreatitis ⚡️ the new kid on the block of complications after #pancreas #surgery 🔪 SURGERY Journal 🔜 a better definition is needed!

POD # 1 drain amylase has increased from 28% in 2014 to 45% in 2017 see Beane JD Annals of Surgery published on line 10/18/19 Optimal Pancrestic Surgery. Serum amylase on POD 0-1 just started in NSQIP last year. Surgeons in Verona and Heidelburg value this measurement.

Very excited to show the first results from #iCyst at my_UEG !! UEG Week Virtual 2020 - Hall 4 @UEGWeekLive Pancreas Verona Roberto Salvia Giovanni Marchegiani

Where our journey on #postoperative #acute #pancreatitis begun 🚂 on Annals of Surgery ✅ POAP rate 55% after PD ⚠️ POAP early predictor of POPF and morbidity 💉 intraoperative fluid regimen influence POAP risk Now it's a matter of definition! journals.lww.com/annalsofsurger…

Another 🧱 in the wall of postoperative acute pancreatitis (POAP) on SURGERY Journal ✅ 67% of POAP after distal pancreatectomy ⚠️ POAP risk factor of POPF 📛 No chemo, thickness, and duct size predict POAP Now a 🌎 definition is needed Full text here sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
