Congratulations to Rubina Sanchez, lead counselor and recruiting coordinator at Byron P. Steele High School. She was named the H-E-B Secondary Counselor of the Year at the Excellence in Education Awards program this evening in Austin.

Sanchez will be awarded $10,000, with an additional $15,000 going to Steele HS. Sanchez took a moment during her acceptance speech to thank the legendary grocery chain for its unwavering support for education throughout the state. #WeAreSCUC #YouBelongHere
