The Stark County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit, Canton City Police Department Vice Unit, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, served warrants as part of a drug trafficking investigation on 12/30/2021. 36 y/o Oscar Todd was arrested & charged w/ Trafficking in Drugs (F1).

18 y/o Michael Knowles was arrested & charged with the Conveyance of a weapon into a school following the exchange of a firearm at GlenOak High. The case for a 17 y/o also involved is under review by the Stark County Juvenile Prosecutor. The case remains under investigation.

We were proud to host the Massillon Rotary meeting yesterday at the Law Enforcement Training Center. Sheriff Maier had the opportunity to show attendees around and talk about the vision for the facility.

A disabled vehicle was struck by a train this morning at SR 183 and Gaskill Drive. No one was inside the vehicle when it was struck. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Several intersections will be blocked due to the train on the tracks until further notice.
