Day 2 of the Training of Trainers on gender transformatives approaches is now in full swing.

The training has commenced with Caroline Kayanja, an SPO at UCOBAC facilitating a session on Gender, social norms and Women Land Rights.

The training is participatory, with participants currently actively engaged in a group activity discussing civil and political rights among others.

The second session of the training has commenced with Carolyn Kayanja leading a discussion on the SYFF tool modules. The 1st module provides an insightful introduction to WLRs, exploring the current legal frameworks and the roles of various land management institutions.

The UCOBAC ED Frances Birungi has  taken the  participants attending  the training on Gender transformative Approaches through the concepts of WLRs, SYFF tool approaches and the gender transformation pathway.

Our member Uganda Parliamentarians Land Management Forum with other partners are organizing this very critical discussion. Please save the date to be part of this history making.

#WomensLandRights are directly linked to two cross-cutting concerns of our time: climate change and food security. But a gap remains between the standards protecting women’s rights to land and those rights in practice.

#S4HL is here to bridge that gap for women worldwide.

This has now come to life, and Uzieri is a proud landowner who freely grows her coffee and hopes to use the proceeds from the first season to contribute to the school fees of her children and save more money with her savings group.

This limited her so much as proceeds after the sale would still be taken by her husband, however, Uzieri's husband attended a focused group financial literacy training that was carried out by ACFODE which made him commit to supporting his wife in her coffee business.
