Great opportunity to see the Rutland #Osprey's up close at Horn Mill last week. The light wasn't great and faded quickly so it was nice to catch a successfull dive early on.

As the light faded quickly at Horn Mill, Rutland; one male Osprey makes repeated attempts to catch a fish. Capturing a sequence of images in the gloomy light is certainly a bit of a challenge

Weighing little more that a AAA battery the Reed Warbler still has time to share its chattering song whilst raising two broods in the reed beds of the Avalon Marshes before it returns to Africa for the winter

A male Marsh Harrier scours the reedbeds on the Avalon Marshes in search of prey for its growing chicks. In 1971 it was Britain's rarest breeding bird of prey with just a single pair; its recovery is both remarkable and a beacon of hope for other species.
