We are learning about height in our maths this week in Nursery …. How many sticks long are you?

This morning, the children in nursery decided to create a train to go to Dinoland! They used lots of resources to create seats, steering wheels and wheels for the train🚂

🔴⚪️ This week in Maths, Y1 have been solving addition word problems using rekenreks 🔴⚪️

🙏🏼💙Y1 have been making their own rosary beads so they can pray the rosary at home 💙🙏🏼

Great work from the sports leaders playing dodgeball with Year 3 and 4 using good listening skills, following instructions and participating well in team games 🔴

Reception have had a fun filled day learning about Diwali - the Festival of Light! We have created Rangoli patterns with coloured rice and in glitter, we have decorated hands with Mehndi designs and created our own Diya Lamps!! 🪔🎇

Happy Diwali 🪔 Nursery read ‘Binny’s Diwali’ and created their own diya lamps like her family. We know Diwali is the Festival of light where colours are used to bring happiness. We carried out a colourful experiment, the children loved seeing their rainbow they created 🌈 💡

Nursery celebrated Black History Month into by learning about Simone Biles 🇺🇸 In response to her story, the children shared ways they look after their body. Just like Simone, they demonstrated their perseverance and resilience when balancing, crawling and jumping 🥇

Tasting Tuesday was full of melting, dipping and sprinkling! We hope the children enjoy their festival of light treat 😋 🪔

Well done to year 5 and 6 children who competed in athletics today - you were all amazing ⭐️.

Reception have been learning about the sacrament of Baptism! We role played the priest, parents and godparents and shared our own photos of our baptisms. We also talked about each of the symbols and their meanings 🐚💦🕯️

Congratulations to all of our children who received certificates in our achievement assembly. Keep up the great work! We are so proud of you 🏆💜♥️

🟡 To celebrate the end of our invasion games focus in PE we played a game of dodge ball. We had so much fun applying our skills! 🟡
