Year 4 have had an excellent day investigating layered clay work by scoring & using slip. Also studied bas and alto relief from various ancient civilisations. Their topic, Islamic Art, looks closely at relief, as well as pattern, symmetry and colour. Not bad for a first attempt!

Yr 6 produced some lovely examples of pen and ink work, incorporating sketching techniques such as stippling, contour lines and cross hatching. The children really enjoyed using this new medium & we look forward to more of the same in the future! Artsmark Cornerstones Education

Our Holy Father Pope Francis died this morning. Eternal rest grant unto him of Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

It was lovely to see current and new faces at our nursery holiday stay and play sessions. We will be open for the next 3 Wednesdays 9:30-10:30, so feel free to pop in for a cuppa whilst your child/ren have a play.
