We even had time to fit in a bit of Science (Electricty) along the way and became detectives at a road incident! St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We continued writing our cliffhanger narrative today. We loved reading our ideas out to the class. Our PATHS emotion dictionary also came in useful for describing our character feelings. We also started to multiply a unit fraction by an integer. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
In RE, we have been researching our Archdiocese. We found out about the pastoral areas and the Liverpool Archdiocese Coat of Arms. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School Patricia Peel
Also, in Come and See, we researched Archbishop John Sherrington. We tried to imagine what a day might be like for him and wrote a diary extract. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School Patricia Peel
We also continued to work out how to multiply mixed numbers by intergers. Knowing our times tables facts really helped today. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
In art, we explored foreground, mid ground and backgrounds. We used Lowry’s paintings as our starting point and then developed our own pieces based on landmarks in St Helens. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We had fun working in pairs to think of all the landmarks in and around St Helens. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We time travelled into the 60’s this afternoon. We imagined we’d been to see the Beatles in The Cavern and also designed an outfit that we might have worn to see them. We also had a look at some artefacts brought in from the 50’s. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
In RE, we had to piece together a photograph of our class. We talked about how Jesus’ teachings on unity helps us to deal with difficulties and diversity. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School Patricia Peel
We loved designing our own digital art today based on Lowry. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We loved investigating air resistance with our parachutes in Science. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
The Mini Vinnies ‘Swap Shop’ was lots of fun this afternoon. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We have been also working out averages in Science. This helped to keep our investigation fair and gave a true result. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We have started to look at decimals and percentages in our new maths topic. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We have been trying to make links between pictures of ‘The Last Supper’ and the Eucharist. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We have tried to remember as much as we can about our last History topic: Britain Since 1948. We loved looking back through the decades. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
In Science, we have started a new topic: Properties of Materials. Our first investigation was to find out which substances were soluble or insoluble. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Our new Geography topic is all about the Grand Canyon. We located it using an atlas then worked in pairs to try and crack the code word by answering questions about the Canyon. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Thank you so much to the parents and carers who were able to join us for our ‘Stay and Pray’ this morning. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School Patricia Peel
