Today we have took part in the Day of Welcome, the annual day of solidarity and learning to kickstart Refugee Week. Year 3 & 4 are finding the live event extremely interesting and eye opening! St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School

Kicking off Refugee Week by discussing different inventions and famous refugee people. 📖

For Refugee week yesterday, we looked at the Moomin story about the special houses where all are welcome. We then created our own junk-model homes, focusing on being respectful and working together as a team 💛🏠St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School

Within Refugee Week, we have carried out the simple act of sharing a meal. We have been discussing how different recipes have travelled and evolved across the world, and tried making naan bread - we can’t wait to give them a taste once they have been cooked! 🫓👩‍🍳 St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School

Yesterday in science we raced to see who could get their circuits working first 🥼💡

Practicing our effective searching skills in computing this afternoon - researching a topic of interest to us and deciding whether sources are reliable or not 💻👾

We got practical in maths today, looking at geometry and the different polygons we can make with equilateral triangles & quadrilaterals 🔷
