Year 3 have had a busy day of activities exploring how people really lived throughout the Stone to Iron Age ๐๐ฅ St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
In PSHE ๐งฉ this afternoon, we celebrated our similarities and differences. We discussed what a family is, and who makes up our families at home. We appreciated how our families love and care for us and created a special family picture frame ๐. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Year 3 have been learning about inverted commas in writing today, and how to use direct speech in our writing. We also discussed lots of ideas to help us with our descriptive writing next week. โ๏ธ๐ St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
We are getting so confident at using column addition and subtraction in Year 3. Today we subtracted 2 digit numbers from 3 digit numbers, always remembering to exchange!! ๐ข St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School

In science yesterday, Year 3 conducted an experiment to see which materials reflected light ๐ก๐ฆ๐ชฉ St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Year 3 listened to scripture from Isaiah, telling the story of Mary being visited by Angel Gabriel. We talked about Advent being a time of preparation for Jesusโ coming and designed a poster emphasising Jesus as the centre of the Christmas season ๐St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Year 3 used mirrors during science to reflect light and investigate how mirrors work.๐ช We created word and maze puzzles for our friends to complete with mirrors. We noticed that the reflections were reversed. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Today Year 3 took part in Jubilee Celebration Day! We reflected on our journeys as pilgrims of hope during the World Youth Sunday livestream and created a โDoorway of Hopeโ with beautiful hope-inspired symbols. St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School ๐๏ธ๐
Year 3 listened to scripture from Matthew 1, telling the story of the annunciation of Joseph. We spoke about how Joseph would have been feeling after the angelโs visit. In PSHE this after noon we have been discussing how to solve problems we might face at home. We also linked it to our control signals from our PATHs lessons which help us with problem solving! ๐งฉ๐ St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
During Geography this afternoon, Year 3 compared the UK to India ๐ we spoke about the countriesโ similarities and differences and played a sorting game ๐ฌ๐ง ๐ฎ๐ณ St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
Today our KS2 choir brought some festive joy to Broadoak Care Home ๐They sang Christmas songs and chatted to some of the residents - a lovely way to spread some cheer this season! They definitely did our school proud ๐ต๐๐ St Peter & St Paul Catholic Primary School
