Everyone told us that launching a magazine out of the pandemic was ‘brave’. Well, fortune has favoured us! That and the incredible efforts of our fantastic team, who work wonders to get a high quality product out every two weeks. It’s a wonderful thing to be part of. Deo Gratias!

A brilliant visit to the National Poetry Library today with St Mary's Institute of Theology and Liberal Arts English Literature students. For our Critical Theory class, students are selecting a piece of poetry (how to choose just one!!) and analysing it using New Historicism, Feminist, Reader Response or Formalist theory!!

Today the Church celebrates all Saints known and unknown who fought the fight and entered into heavenly glory. My apostolate especially honors #BlackCatholic saints both known and unknown who have gone before us. Here are 2 of them saints above me in the chapel at my seminary: 🧵

Enjoyed delivering a talk at Waldegrave School this morning - with a colleague from Uni of Roehampton We discussed the power of literature in forming and challenging identity. I looked at Dickens and Malthus in the 19C - with our emphasised 'New Historicist' approach at St Mary's Institute of Theology and Liberal Arts
