Collection of JC and LC projects. Anyone wishing to collect their project and folder should contact Mr Murphy or the school before Friday 26th October 2018 as projects may be recycled after that date

Answer 1: This is a bio-plastic bottle. Its compostable but will only biodegrade under certain very specific conditions. If there is no municipal collection and composting infrastructure in place (the UK doesn't not have this) then it is plastic waste. eg theguardian.com/environment/20…

More General Point: There is no such thing as an environmentally sustainable material, only an environmentally sustainable system. We dont have a collection and processing system for biodegradable plastics in the UK. Until we do they are not a sustainable solution.
