Teachers & students from our German partner school were invited to the Ministry of Education in Düsseldorf to present the project we worked on together: "Communication through sport". The event was in celebration of "Internationaler Austauschtag" (International Exchange day).

Our new Reception children have made an excellent start to their school journey, as well as enjoying the toys in the classroom, they have hit the ground running with daily reading, maths & phonics, topic, library lessons, music, PE, art, IT & orchard school. Welcome to St Jo's!

What a super start to life in Key Stage 2 for our Year 3 children who have been working hard in all areas of the curriculum. In maths they begun a topic on place value& they have amazed Mrs H with their ability to place not only 2-digit,but also 3-digit numbers on a number line👏

Today Years 5 and 6 are spending the day team building at Roadford Lake! First up, high ropes and kayaking 🛶 Roadford Lake

Yesterday Year 7 enjoyed a team building day starting at the outdoor school, where they played communication games. They then visited Lanhydrock House where they explored the house & worked in 3 teams in Scattergories, showcasing excellent alliteration and observation skills. 👏
