The children in Reception class loved singing Happy Birthday to Toothy today! Mrs Toothy (Toothy's mummy) said thank you to the children for baking delicious birthday biscuits for him! Toothy also loved his beautiful birthday card from the children. Thank you Reception class!

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful treat! The children in Reception loved the delicious ice creams from Mrs McLeary! Well done for winning the Summer Reading Challenge again St Joseph's and thank you Mrs McLeary!!!

What a lovely first week in Reception class! We are looking forward to more learning and fun together next week.

Today in Science Year 3 have been exploring the similarities and differences of animal skeletons. We have been grouping animals according to their features and discovering what vertebrates and invertebrates are.

Pre-school have been busy making up stories this morning as they explore the small world areas of the classroom- early writing skills, exploring the world around them, using new vocabulary, making new friends, taking turns, making conversation.

Pre-school enjoyed the Autumn sunshine as they became outdoor explorers for the afternoon as they sorted and categorised leaves that they had collected- exploring the changing seasons, exploring the world around us, being part of nature , moving in various ways.

Today, our Year 6 students embraced #MakeYourOwnLunchDay! 🥪🍎 From creative sandwich ideas to healthy snacks, they did an amazing job preparing their meals!

Pre-school had a great time in Monster phonics this morning as they tapped out rhythms with purple U-hoo this morning- rhythm and rhyme, phase 1 phonics.

Pre-school are having a fantastic morning as they are busy making clay hedgehogs - developing finger strength, fine motor skills, using media and materials, early writing skills, learning about the world around them.

Oh no!!! There's an Evil Pea on the loose! Reception class, he is getting up to mischief!

In Reception class we have been reading the story Evil Pea...and now he is on the loose! Reception class were very keen to find out what Evil Pea has been getting up to. Mrs McLeary was shocked to hear that Evil Pea was not being kind to the vegetables!

Reception class need a plan to help turn Evil Pea into Good Pea! We began by taking part in Superhero Training in PE...

Reception class loved visiting our beautiful prayer garden! We looked at the plants, bird box and bug hotel. The children then joined in with a special prayer. Well done Reception class

As part of our 'Superhero Training' we practised our superhero balancing skills and tested our superhero strength on the Trim Trail. Look out Evil Pea, we are ready to change you back into a good pea!

What a fantastic, fun filled morning Year 5 had attending the Safe and Sound event hosted by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. We learnt all about how to stay safe near fire, water, trains, cars and how the police help us to stay safe everyday! 🚒🔥🛟#safeandsound
