Pre-school have been playing outdoor explorers today as they looked for Dandelions and then used scarves to emulate the seeds flying and explore the effects of the wind- large shoulder pivots, exploring natural phenomina, enjoying nature, learning about growth.

Pre-school have had a fanstastic time learning about symmetry and colour this morning- maths in action, using mathmatical language, mixing colour, large body movements, early writing skills.

Reception class have had lots of fun recapping the Easter story! Earlier this week we acted out the story of Palm Sunday. Today we acted out The Last Supper! We used wine (blackcurrant juice!) and bread and all got into role! Super acting Reception Class!

Pre-school are having a fantastic time learning about Spring as they are making a Spring collage - Fine motor skills, early writing skills, understanding the world around them, mixed media and materials, colour changing, changing of the seasons, Early growth.

Pre-school have been busy learning about fairytales and have been busy drawing how the setting for their fairytale would look- Marshmallow clouds, chocolate castles, Ice cream towers and many other ideas- how a story is composed, early writing skills, large shoulder pivot.

Year 1 have made their own Paschal candles to celebrate when Jesus was risen. We know what each symbol on the Paschal candle represents including the flame representing Jesus being the Light of the world.

Year 1 were designers and textile artists when making their own logos for our school. They thought about how to cut and stick materials together to make a logo that represents our school.

Today, Reception class learned how to speak 'bunny' and after saying a magic spell and wishing the Easter Bunny 'Happy Easter' (in bunny language of course!) some delicious chocolate eggs appeared! Thank you Easter Bunny and Happy Easter everyone!

Breaking news!!! The Easter bunny has visited Reception class! We spotted tell-tail footprints which led us to Easter Bunny Easter Egg Hunt Challenge!!!

Reception class tested water, sticks, sand and a cushion to see what would save Numpty Bumpty. We loved making our predictions and carrying out the experiements! The sand saved him! #scienceweek #lovelearning
