Year 5 had a wonderful afternoon thanks to the SunSpace Art team. We learned all about space and the amazing artist Alma. A big thank you to Helen, Geraldine, Claire and Jo for making the session possible. St Teresa of Calcutta CAT #makinglivesbetter #makingchristknown

Today, some of the members of our Gift and Caritas Teams were given the chance to visit our second jubilee church of the year. We had a wonderful morning exploring the ‘beautiful place’ that is Schoenstatt Church and Shrine. #stethre St Teresa of Calcutta CAT

Year 5 started their new art topic for this half term. Today they looked at how colour is used. We created a colour wheel showing complimentary colours, painted a monochromatic scale and looked at which colours are warm and which are cold. St Teresa of Calcutta CAT #makinglivesbetter

Poetry week is well underway as Year 5 are learning a class poem after exploring a variety of poetry anthologies. Being inspired by this, the children are also writing their own poetry. St Teresa of Calcutta CAT #makinglivesbetter #makingchristknown

A beautiful Celebration of the Word this morning in Y5. The children shared the gospel and thought about what things in our life make us truly rich. Well done Y5. St Teresa of Calcutta CAT #makinglivesbetter #makingchristknown

Year 6’s trip to Bolton ERC, where they learned about the course of a river and looked at some of the features. This was a great hook to our Geography topic - rivers.

Year 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from Prevent2Protect team, who worked with us to understanding what a gang is and how to identify gangs trying to groom children. It was a wonderful session and the team said our children were a credit to us St Teresa of Calcutta CAT
