It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Mayer announce her passing, on Friday 10th October 2025. There is a JustGiving page set up in her memory, raising funds for the charity Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Funeral details are below. JustGiving link in the comments.

Another great turn-out for our Forget Me Not Cafe Games afternoon at St Edward's, and so lovely to see two new visitors - Hazel and Helen.

Lots of Halloween fun in our craft session at Forget Me Not Cafe this week - stickers and balloons, and some very artistic results. The balloons really do glow in the dark!

Everyone was soaked arriving, but it was warm and dry inside! A lovely afternoon at Forget Me Not Cafe, colouring paper poppies and preparing poppy seeds for planting out. Working with a great group of students from RWCMD, who absolutely loved being at Forget Me Nots.

Looking forward to the concertplay "Breaking the Rules" at 8pm this evening (The Telling and The Mancunium Consort). Also free singing workshop with the Mancunium Consort at 6pm.

A fun Forget Me Not Cafe session today with our friends from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, making garlands with lots of lovely messages - Kathie will be missed; Forget Me Not Cafe will continue in her memory.

The funeral of Kathie Mayer will take place in St Edward’s on Friday at 1pm. Kathie was a chorister for over 50 years, Church Warden of the Parish of Roath, Diocesan Education Officer for Llandaff Diocese, founder and leader of numerous groups including Forget Me Not Café. RIP.
