Many apologies to all children trying to get out of P.E. today with a letter from mum saying they don’t feel well 🤣🤣 Teachers won’t fall for it 🤦‍♂️ Relieved with the win after a difficult 36 hours trying to kick a bug 🔥

Love this photo! Current Irish women's hammer champion Nicola Tuthill, then just 15 years old, watches on as her dad Norman builds his daughter a throwing circle (and then cage) in a field at home in Kilbrittain. On Sunday, Nicola will make her Olympic debut. Remarkable story.

The stuff that does drive participation is far less sexy than Olympic medals. It’s ambitious policies; accessible facilities; a huge network of coaches and volunteers; it’s a proper PE curriculum and a wide array of introductory programmes with low barriers to entry. Column:

Congratulations to our u16 Gaelic team who defeated St. Patrick's and St Brigid's Claudy. The girls were 7 points behind at half time and managed to dig deep to win by the last kick of the match! The team will now progress onto the Erne Cup. Good luck
