Year 3 are really proud of their writing. We have been reading Escape from Pompeii and started to create our own version of it and started to edit our work.

In Tuesday afternoon’s computing lesson, our Year 1 children have been using the iPads to create lists. Look how proud these two children are to show off their work 📷

The children at St Augustine’s achieve both in and out of the classroom. Well done to this pupil, who had trials for the GB ice hockey team this week 📷 📷

The passports are ready for our whole school pilgrimage tomorrow. The Holy doors look fantastic and it will be wonderful for the children to take a moment to pray and reflect as they visit each door and get their passports stamped.

In science today Year 3 looked at how magnets attract or repel. We then created our own compass with a magnet. We were fascinated to see how the magnet span around on the water to always face north.

Year 3 have been learning the story of The Prodigal Son in RE so we decided to use our English skills to write it in our own words. We are so proud of our work and we worked so hard.

Reception have loved learning about Chinese New Year last week. Last Friday they made Chinese food and had a go at eating with chopsticks. They also entertained the rest of the school with their dragon dance as they visited each class.

On Monday, Year 2 learned how Jesus cared for the sick and how we can follow his example. Through role-play, we explored the Sacrament of the Sick and its power to bring comfort and healing. 📷📷

Wow, we have some talented architects at St Augustine's. In preparation for today, there has been lots of hard work. The class have been: planning their castles, creating nets for their prototypes and learning about different joins. The children were so excited.
