CS Amb Hon Ababu-Namwamba, EGH🇰🇪 today made an inspection tour of the Kirubia stadium in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County as well as the Embu Moi Stadium and the Njukiiri grounds in Embu County. He was accompanied by Tharaka Nithi County Governor H.E Muthomi Njuki and PS Sports Hon. Jonathan Mueke, CBS.

On his part, PS Hon. Jonathan Mueke, CBS reiterated the Ministry's commitment to turning talents into careers through the Ministry's flagship project #TalantaHela. "At the ministry, we are committed to turning talents into wealth creation and livelihoods," said the PS.

These regional sporting facilities among others will be instrumental as we actualize our Ministry's flagship project, #TalantaHela - identifying and developing talent right from the grassroots. 2/2

Hon. Wakili Charles Mwalimu from Mwingi North paid me a visit this morning to discuss the development of sporting facilities in Kitui. These platforms will give the vibrant youth of Kitui an opportunity to nurture their talents and ensure profitability and a secure future.

Honoured to be part of the welcoming team who received sprint sensation Ferdinand Omurwa OMANYALA M.B.S,O.G.W at Kasarani today. He beat his 60 metres national record and even outsprinted last year's winner Marcell Jacobs at the Lievin Indoor Meet in France.

It has been a great honor hosting the Shujaa team at a send off dinner as they prepare to play at the HSBC World Series, LA and Vancouver Sevens. Being a great rugby fan, I reassured the team that they are in the hands of a Government that values and cares about them. 1/2

Congratulating the Organizing and Steering Committees of the World Rally Championships- Kenya that were unveiled today. This is a great opportunity to strengthen our muscle in motor sports and to boost sports tourism.

A celebration befitting champions! Our ministry was proud to host the Kenyan cross country team that's just back from Australia. CS Namwamba, Gen. Tuwei (AK), Dr. Tergat NOC-K, and I were thrilled to share this moment with our athletic heroes.

Pongezi for clinching 6 gold medals and emerging the overall winners from a pool of 45 countries. I pledged to work with private sector to  draft a rewards scheme and see how our athletes can get endorsements and substantial monetary benefits for their talents.

I today accompanied H.E William Samoei Ruto, PhD for the official opening of the Border Police Hospital in Kanyonyoo, Kitui County. This is a tremendous milestone for our police that will serve the community as well.

We also to tour the Border Police Stadium which is under construction and shall be open to serve the community’s sporting needs. Thanks to the National Police Service for all it is doing to secure our country and her people.
