A welcome return of Andrew & Victoria MacDonald from the Pot Shop, Lincoln, who ran another workshop for us making Roman oil lamps. It was good fun playing with wet clay but not as easy as you think to make something recognizable that did not collapse! Thank you both.

Following on from her talk on Walmsgate Hall, we had a guided tour of Langworth church from Jean Howard. When Walmsgate chapel was demolished much of the fixtures & fittings were incorporated into the new church at Langworth. A lovely church with many Art Nouveau features.

On Sunday 27 July 2025 the Sutterby Barn Owl Box was checked Dr Chris Batey from the RSPB who is licensed to handle & ring wild birds. Sadly no barn owl chicks this year but there were 2 adult owls in the box. Chris carefully removed these owls & gave them both a health check.
