We all mistakes. This was a silly but significant one. It will almost certainly not be the last public error by a pollster this year.

JWExTheSpa Someone at Savanta is either preparing a smug rebuff or feeling very sick.

They are briefing journalists that the Rwanda plan won't stop the boats.

And yet they are still pushing forwards with this colossal waste of taxpayers cash.

Unforgivable.

It blows my mind that this isn't referenced in every bit of (non-client media) coverage of Rwanda.

It's an astonishing waste of money and human potential apart from the cruelty to the individuals involved. And obviously completely unsustainable.

The Sunak Rwanda strategy is an admission of impending election defeat and a desperate attempt to mitigate its scale. It’s pitched solely at Reform voters. Some may be impressed. Most won’t be. Sunak all over, basically.

He threatened to resign because the government made some stupid decisions on HS2, and then backed down because Rishi said a nice thing about him in a speech.

That's the definition of putting yourself and your party before the interests of the West Midlands.

I suspect this is true. But it’s a gift to Labour. An admission that the deterrence won’t work. Sunak going for this option would be very typical.

If true, this is a terrible error to have made as it is likely to substantially overstate Street’s support. When there are so few polls for a closely fought contest, the ones that are published can have a huge impact. Basic mistakes are just totally unacceptable.
